Hacene Bekkar
Hacene Bekkar is a research engineer in Medical Physics at Gustave Roussy within the U1355 research unit, under the supervision of Charlotte Robert, PhD.
He graduated with a Master's degree in Medical Radiophysics from Université Paris-Saclay and passed the national medical physics residency entry exam (DQPRM).
His current research focuses on modeling dose to lymphocytes in the context of radiation-induced lymphopenia in external radiotherapy for multisite pathologies.
He previously conducted research under Ross Berbeco, PhD, at the Berbeco Lab, Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School, on deep learning-based segmentation of brain metastases on MR imaging, and at CERN's CLEAR facility, where he worked on VHEE/FLASH dosimetry under Pierre Korysko, PhD.
