About Us

Since 2016, Weill Cornell Medicine (New York) and the Gustave Roussy Cancer Campus (Paris) have joined forces to organize an annual conference that provides a forum for education, discussion, and networking among investigators interested in developing safe and effective RT-IT combinations (ImmunoRad).

Non-homogenous intratumor ionizing radiation doses synergize with PD1 and CXCR2 blockade

Paul Bergeron,Morgane Dos Santos,Lisa Sitterle,Georges Tarlet,Jeremy Lavigne,Winchygn Liu,Marine Gerbé de Thoré,Céline Clémenson,Lydia Meziani,Cathyanne Schott,Giulia Mazzaschi,Kevin Berthelot,Mohamed Amine Benadjaoud,Fabien Milliat,Eric Deutsch & Michele Mondini

⚡ Two breakthrough publications in #Science Translational Medicine and #Nature Communications discussing #intratumor heterogenous radiation doses with #immunotherapy combination. By delivering a single fraction of non-homogenous radiation doses within the same tumor, researchers observed enhanced anti-tumor responses and #synergistic efficacy when combined with immunotherapy in #murine tumor models. These methods spatially reshaped the tumor immune #microenvironment in a dose-dependent manner, and the efficacy of their combination with immunotherapy notably relied on the T cell compartment. These results suggest that delivering spatially heterogeneous #radiation doses could represent a promising strategy to improve the therapeutic index of radiotherapy in combination with immunotherapy.
